Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

Buzzquiz respects your privacy and processes personal data solely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, and how long we retain it.

Data Controller

Buzzquiz is operated by Buzzquiz.

For questions or requests regarding your personal data, contact us at [email protected].

What data do we process?

Buzzquiz processes only your email address. You provide this at checkout; it is used solely to deliver your quiz code(s).

We do not process payment data such as card numbers. Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., a licensed payment service provider operating under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). Buzzquiz receives only a payment success confirmation.

Purpose and legal basis

We process your email address on the basis of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): you order a quiz code and we deliver it. Your email is not used for any other purpose, including newsletters or direct marketing.

Retention period

Your email address is permanently deleted within 30 days of your quiz code(s) being delivered. Quiz codes themselves contain no personal data.

Cookies and local storage

Buzzquiz does not place tracking or advertising cookies. We store technically necessary information in your browser via localStorage: for session management, language preference, and quiz settings. This is strictly necessary for the service to function.

For payment processing we load Stripe scripts. These are loaded only after you have given consent via the cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights: • Right of access to your processed data • Right to rectification of inaccurate data • Right to erasure ('right to be forgotten') • Right to restriction of processing • Right to data portability

To submit a request, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

Supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). In other EU countries you may contact your national data protection authority.
